We're nationally recognized for our 100% remote team, with employees working together from coast to coast. In fact, we were the first all-remote company to be profiled in a case study by Harvard Business School. The entire company meets together in person twice a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan to get to know each other, have fun, and work on strategy. Learn more about our remote work culture in interviews our CEO did with Glassdoor and Remote.co.
We'll give you the autonomy and resources to do your job well. We believe our team is happiest and most effective when everyone has control over their own working conditions and the freedom to make decisions that impact our company. We offer flexible work hours, since everyone works best at different times. Learn more about what we value as a company.
This is a great place to work for anyone who wants to really make an impact on a product hundreds of thousands of people use and love. Because we're 100% employee owned and not beholden to shareholders, we're able to put our customers and employees first in everything we do. That's why we offer all employees extremely competitive salaries, stock options, health care, and retirement benefits. We also offer our customers a no-questions-asked satisfaction guarantee on all orders, the best such guarantee in our market.
We base all employment decisions on individual qualifications and our overall business needs — not on your gender, religion, age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or national origin (or anything else that doesn't have anything to do with your work). Discrimination and harassment of any kind are not tolerated at Collage.com. We signed the (Obama) White House Equal Pay Pledge and are committed to ensuring fair pay for all.

The less time you spend dealing with cumbersome processes and inefficient systems, the more time you can solve problems and work on things you're proud of. We've structured our processes to make it easy for you to individually work as part of a larger software engineering team.
Collage.com passes all of The Joel Test, with one exception: we fix only high-priority bugs before writing new code (hey, we're a startup, after all). We pride ourselves on moving faster and doing better work than our competitors, despite their much larger development teams.
Our founders have Ph. Ds in economics and computer science, and experience in software engineering and research at Google and Microsoft. Everyone in engineering management is an experienced developer who knows how to build great software. Members of the development team are surrounded by peers who are knowledgeable, helpful, and have a real passion for constant improvement. We continually challenge ourselves to make Collage.com better for customers, increase our efficiency, and realize our full potential as engineers.

No! Because we promote working together as a team, we do not use stack ranking or other evaluation systems that can discourage collaboration. We only hire employees we think will succeed on our team; we don't want to set you up to fail!
Our job interviews are all over the phone or video conferencing, so you won't need to travel or block off large amounts of time for multiple interviews in one day. We're happy to schedule interviews outside of regular business hours, too. Typically, our interviews begin with the people you'd be working with directly. Applicants advancing to the final round of interviews also talk with one or both of our company's founders. For development and project management jobs, we don't ask any brain teaser questions, but we do provide a short take-home assignment that is directly relevant to the job, so we can measure your skills outside of our standard interviews.
Unfortunately, we're only able to consider applicants who already are able to legally work in the United States of America. At this time, we're only considering U.S.-based applicants, too.
No. While our team is entirely based in the U.S., we don't limit ourselves to just one area. In fact, we have employees in three out of four continental U.S. time zones!
